The Company
My client is a large well respected NZ operation with a dominant market presence. They are well-known for their services; this is a premium brand and certainly serves NZ well in it’s offering. The company has a great culture, modern offices and great leadership. They are entering an exciting new chapter following the recent acquisition of sole ownership of a key entity within the business. They are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented contract accounting professional to help them drive excellence through process review and documentation.

The Role
As they integrate and align the financial operations of the newly acquired entity, you will play a critical role in ensuring clarity, efficiency, and consistency across key accounting functions. You'll take a hands-on approach to reviewing and documenting the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Month-End processes—all within a Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) environment.

This is a project-focused role—ideal for someone who thrives in transitional or change environments and enjoys mapping out processes that create lasting value.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct end-to-end reviews of current accounting processes and controls.
  • Document clear and comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) across AP, AR, Month-End Close.
  • Collaborate with internal finance teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and validate workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining or improving current processes.
  • Ensure documentation is aligned with company standards and D365 functionality.


Your profile:
We are looking for a strong accounting professional, who has exposure to change environments and has experience with documenting finance processes. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.

  • A strong accounting background with proven experience working across core financial processes
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • A process-oriented mindset with excellent documentation and communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes in a project-based setting.
