FHG 2023 WRAPPED Now let’s start with the most important part of our company - our people. Without this team, we wouldn’t be reaching the new heights we are. They’re consistent, collaborative, aspirational and just downright the best people we have met. To recap our year, we’ve pulled some highlights to share! • Broken into over 100 staff members 💯 • Co-owner Bert Haines celebrated his 10 year anniversary with FHG, as well as recieving Highly Commended in the Leader of the Year category at the Hospitality NZ award, PLUS he was voted onto the HNZ board 🙌🏼🤯 • 5 glorious years with our two weapons Cami Renard and Phoebe Woodward 👑 • We’ve had staff enrol in 166 courses from @thehospitalitycompany15 📚 • Liam Cabourn took home the Outstanding Bartender award at the Southern Lakes Hospitality Awards 🏆 • Our epic teams at Margo’s, Queenstown Ice Bar and odd saint just keep on breaking their own records 🤝🏼 • 6 nominations across the Hospitality NZ and Restaurant Association awards 🎖️ • Opened Miss Rita’s Cantina, to bring our total to 7 venues ✨ • Little Blackwood helped former team member Josh Storey raise $1000 toward his fundraiser for Men’s mental health organisation Talk2mebro whilst he walked Te Araroa 🚶‍♂️💰 • Our man Joey took home the Show Us Your Roots cocktail competition held in Christchurch with his ’Nonno’s Sour’ 🍸 • Maria Carroll, our People and Performance manager not only hired all of these wonderful people but also completed her cert in Personnel Management and Human Resources 📝 • As a team, we conquered many classes with the formidable Jules from Industrial Fitness to help build our strength both physically and mentally 💪🏽 What a year, what a group, here’s to 2024 🚀
