Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to join our team!

You will ensure our team is supported to process fortnightly payroll and file PAYE accurately and efficiently. As the team SME, you will provide guidance and expertise with complex problem-solving and payroll calculations, as well as tax and legislative requirements. Working closely with our Payroll Manager you will drive continual improvement of our payroll practices and play a key role in growing the skillsets in our team.

We are looking for:

  • Previous senior payroll experience or you're a experienced payroll administrator ready to showcase and share your advanced payroll skills.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant NZ payroll legislation, including the Holidays Act.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Great communication skills, situational awareness, and empathy for others
  • Initiative and are eager to drive ongoing improvement.
  • PayGlobal experience or are quick to pick up software skills.


This is a full time role (40 hours per week) based at our office in central Masterton.
