Job Description

Our client is a 16-year-old boy with neonatal brain damage, spastic cerebral Palsy, traumatic epilepsy who needs a fun loving, proactive and experienced support worker to assist him in living his best life. Family needs someone who is warm, outgoing and shows pride in their presentation to help him achieve his goals while keeping him healthy.

Suitable applicants will be able to relate well to children, have a gentle personality, be very clean and tidy. You will be reliable and able to plan and manage your time well.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable in a medical home environment
  • Confident to handle cares independently
  • Must have a clean and valid NZ driving licence
  • Must be eligible to work in NZ
  • Subject to clean police clearance check
  • Able to commit to the shifts
  • Training will be provided


Tasks:

  • Personal cares
  • Commode
  • Wheelchair support
  • Competency in Ceiling hoist
  • Competency in PEG feeding
  • Support morning routine before pre-school.


Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday 7:30 am-08:30 am


*With the opportunity to pick up more shifts as they become available
