Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
The Skynet squad is a team of four Platform Engineers responsible for the infrastructure and platforms used by the Westpac domestic payments systems. Currently we're focused on changing our provisioning process, moving to new hardware and putting in a new domestic payment processing platform.
Please note: - This position requires participation in an afterhours on call support roster.
Ko tāu mahi | What you’ll do
- Create Jenkins pipelines to provision infrastructure and deploy changes
- Create Chef recipes to manage configuration
- Maintain observability using current Westpac practices
- Maintain monitoring and alerting using current Westpac practices
- Maintain Jenkins
- Be a contributing member of the squad by helping us improve and onboard new payments related systems
- Oncall (including after-hours) support
- Maintain a container orchestration platform
- Coach and mentor other platform engineers
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience engineering fault-tolerant, resilient systems that are observable, monitored, and have alerting
- Linux administration
- Experience creating automLation with a configuration management tool in either Chef, Ansible, or Puppet
- Experience managing and maintaining Enterprise level hardware.
