BestStart Wooing Tree is looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher in Training to join our energetic and close-knit team. Our focus is on providing quality early childhood education to the children in our community.
Our purpose-built centre, opening in March 2025, will be licensed for 80 tamariki, featuring four thoughtfully designed classrooms, including a dedicated space for under-twos. Located in Wooing Tree Estate, we are within walking distance of Cromwell’s town centre, Lake Dunstan, and the region’s renowned vineyards. About the Role
If you are passionate about teaching young children and are currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor’s or Graduate Diploma programme, we want to hear from you. This is a permanent, full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and committed Teacher in Training who:
- Is enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor’s or Graduate Diploma course
- Has a strong understanding of child-led curriculum and planning
- Demonstrates knowledge of ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and compliance standards
- Is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in their teaching practice
- Has a passion for teaching and learning, with a focus on delivering high-quality education
