Laser / Plasma Operator
Our client is a leading steel processing company that specialise in the delivery of integrated steel solutions. They provide pressing, rolling and profiling services to different industries all throughout New Zealand.
We have an excellent opportunity that currently exists for an experienced Profile Operator to join our vibrant team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Operate Laser/ Plasma machines
- Identify and pick steel product
- Bevel and drill material
- Maintain machine efficiency
- Operate overhead gantry cranes
- Load and unload material on the cutting table
- Set up machines and perform pre-start procedures
- Interpret part drawings
- Follow detailed work instructions
- General housekeeping
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience operating laser and plasma machines
- Sound knowledge of warehousing and machine operations
- Experience operating overhead gantry cranes, highly regarded
- Current Forklift licence, highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic
