He angitūtanga: The Opportunity
Te Kaunihera is seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our team and contribute to shaping positive outcomes for Māori communities in Tāmaki Makaurau. In this senior role, you will support the review of the Māori Outcomes Fund. You will work alongside the Programme Manager to collate, analyse, and summarise inputs to the project, ensuring the production of high-quality documentation and outputs from various workstreams. You will play a pivotal role in managing key projects while fostering inclusivity and adaptability within our work. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on Māori prosperity and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse data and produce insights.
  • Collaborate with Māori Outcome Leads and key stakeholders to support workstreams.
  • Develop high-quality documentation and manage project risks effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Māori communities and key council staff.
  • Provide clear updates to the project sponsor and ensure transparency in all project phases.

He kōrero mōu: About You
You will bring extensive years of experience, ideally in local government, iwi organisations, or central government, with a deep understanding of Māori interests in Tāmaki Makaurau. You have a good understanding of tikanga Māori, and Māori knowledge systems, and have a proven ability to build meaningful relationships with Māori communities. A level of fluency in te reo Māori would be an advantage. Your strong analytical abilities combined with your project management skills, enable you to deliver high-quality results on time. You excel in communication, both written and oral, and are skilled at engaging a diverse range of stakeholders. Resilient and adaptable, you thrive in a dynamic environment and are driven by the opportunity to make a real impact on Māori outcomes.
