The Role

We're looking for a Risk & Compliance Analyst to support this funds management business by providing compliance assurance testing and strengthening risk management frameworks. In this role, you’ll work closely with business leaders to enhance risk awareness, refine controls, and ensure a strong compliance culture. Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance assurance testing and support the development of risk management frameworks.
• Act as a subject matter expert for the risk system, ensuring risk profiles and key risk indicators are well managed.
• Work with business owners to identify risks, obligations, and controls, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
• Support and encourage a proactive risk and compliance culture throughout the business.
• Provide meaningful insights and reporting to stakeholders, including risk committee updates.
• Maintain awareness of emerging risks and regulatory changes, advising the business accordingly.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, and compliance teams to ensure a best-in-class compliance environment.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years’ experience in a legal, risk, or compliance role, ideally in funds management or banking.
• You must have some experience with assurance testing.
• Strong understanding of NZ financial regulations (FMCA, AML/CFT, KiwiSaver legislation).
• Ability to analyse and solve complex problems with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• A proactive, flexible, and resilient mindset with excellent time management.
