About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
Being a part of our Butchery team will open you up to endless opportunities throughout our network of stores where we can help you further your career!
We’re proud of the diversity of our team and the roles they play in running our store - this role is great for anyone who enjoys a hands-on job with plenty of variety each day.
Keep warm by working hard in this cool environment and take pride in selling quality meat to your customers. In this hands on role as a Knifehand, a day in the life could look like:
- Cutting, trimming, deboning and packaging meat products as well as using different machinery
- Interacting with customers helping them choose the best cuts of meat for their needs
- Maintaining great presentation for the Butchery department
- Championing Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety practices to ensure a safe working environment for customers, staff and contractors
About You | Mōu
- Have previous experience with cutting and preparing meat
- Have a willingness for early starts and to work on your feet for most of your shift
- Be a strong communicator and effectively communicate with customers and team members
- Have a keen eye for detail ensuring there’s not a meat pack out of place
- Regularly lift up to 15kgs, bend, reach and complete repetitive movements
