About the role
This is the perfect role for a compassionate Aged Care Home Manager who has expertise in managing a retirement village. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background in aged care, combined with a proven ability to oversee both residential care and independent living facilities. In this busy and varied role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the aged care home and the retirement village (approx. 120 staff)
- Ensuring full compliance with aged care standards and regulations
- Fostering and encouraging a positive and engaging environment for all residents, families, and internal staff
- Monitoring expenses in relation to agreed budgets, staffing levels, and additional resources effectively to achieve operational excellence
- Developing and implement strategies in order to achieve continuous improvement in care and service delivery
- Overseeing safety, security, and maintenance across both facilities
- Building strong professional relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
What you will bring
We are seeking a seasoned professional with proven experience in aged care operations, along with a strong understanding of aged care compliance and village management regulations. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team while demonstrating exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management are essential, as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant qualifications in aged care, healthcare management, or a related field are preferred. Registration with the relevant professional bodies, while beneficial, is not a necessity.
