If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Senior Launchmaster - Fiordland Lakes & Southern Fiords.
At RealNZ, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional maritime experiences that captivate and ensure every guest leaves with a great story to tell. As a Senior Launchmaster, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels. You'll work in partnership with Experience Leads and our Maritime Operations team to ensure that all Launchmasters and crew on Lake Te Anau, Lake Manapouri, Doubtful Sound and other southern fiords operate vessels in full compliance with Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) regulations and local body authorities, as well as our own RealNZ guidelines.
Responsible for recruitment, clearances, on-vessel training and day to day operational and asset management of vessels in your area. As the Senior Launchmaster, you will be rostered yourself, with time allowed for the leadership aspects of your role. As a natural born leader, you'll inspire and develop high-performing teams, fostering potential in others and bringing out the best in them.
You'll be adept at managing effectively, problem-solving, and knowing when to escalate or make crucial decisions.
What do we need from you for this role?
- Significant operational experience as a Launchmaster.
- Relevant maritime qualifications to support your expertise.
- Strong knowledge of MNZ legislative rules and local authority regulations.
- A natural born leader, passionate about developing high-performing teams.
- Positive attitude and unwavering attention to detail.
- Resourceful and skilled at prioritization and time management.
- Computer literacy, organized, and methodical with documentation and assessments.
