Te wero – The Challenge
We currently require a reliable and flexible casual to work in our FNDC Libraries and Customer Service centres located in Kaitāia and Kāeo. What you need to know:
This position is mainly based in Kāeo, with opportunities to experience work within libraries and customer services at other sites.
This role requires the ability to look after customers through a variety of channels e.g., face to face, email, phone.
You will be providing timely, welcoming, high-quality assistance to internal and external customers. Full training will be provided.
You will undertake general library tasks in branches, backfilling our multiskilled library and customer service staff.

I ā koe - About You
Experience working in customer service focused environments is desired
You are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service for people in face-to-face environments
Awareness of the modern library environment
Sound digital literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office - particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
You are proactive, take ownership of challenges, and are known for your attention to detail
You love variety in your work and helping people to solve issues
Availability to cover staff sickness and leave at short notice
You must have a current full driver’s licence and/or reliable transport
You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
You must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
