Executive Assistant to General Counsel

  • Permanent full-time role
  • Located in Britomart, Auckland

Mō te tūranga | About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to support our General Counsel with Westpac Legal Services. You will have exceptional planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. No matter what, you will be the epitome of professionalism and always seek out new and better ways of working.

Like all great EA’s, you will be anticipating the next steps, pre-empting what’s required as well as maintaining a strategic lens on the work you do.  You will be adept at ‘thinking outside the box’ and planning ahead. You will be detail orientated, with the drive and energy to make this varied role look seamless. If you have had exposure to the Legal Industry in some capacity, this would be highly desirable, however isn’t essential.

In addition to your superior interpersonal and organisational skills, you will have proven experience in a similar Executive Assistant role. You will pride yourself on working collaboratively with people at all levels to ensure the executive suite is an effective and enjoyable place to work.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • Experience, in an Executive Assistant role, in large complex, corporate environments combined with proven success supporting a General Manager or Senior Executive.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, time constrained environment at pace, with composure and professionalism.
  • Resilience and adaptability as you will be dealing with high level work as well as the pressure that comes with that.
  • We will be leveraging your confidence when dealing with senior staff, relying on your ability to remain unphased by hierarchy.  Discretion is key - you will be entrusted with confidential information, so it is critical you maintain this trust and with a professional etiquette.

  • We need you to be a strong and clear communicator with a polished presentation.
