About the role:

As a Sous Chef at Copthorne Hotel Wellington, you’ll be at the heart of our culinary team, inspiring creativity and ensuring every dish is crafted to perfection. We’re looking for a leader, innovator, and mentor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep love for food.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing and refining exciting menus that delight our guests
  • Leading À La Carte service with precision and flair
  • Overseeing stock control and kitchen operations
  • Mentoring junior chefs and fostering a collaborative kitchen culture
  • Coordinating conference and function catering (experience in this area is a plus!)


What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, in a senior/leadership role
  • Strong leadership abilities to train and inspire your team
  • Passion for food and innovation (because you love crafting exceptional dishes!)
  • Flexibility with shifts – Weekends and public holidays are part of the gig, but you know that already!
  • A team-focused mindset, because great food comes from great teamwork!
