Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the finances for the businesses property and construction-related entities. You will work closely with Project Directors, Development Managers, and external advisors to ensure financial discipline and informed decision-making across all stages of the property lifecycle.

What you'll do:

As a Property & Construction Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Lead financial feasibility modelling for all new and prospective development projects.
• Provide robust analysis and commercial input into investment papers and business cases
• Oversee capital and development budgets across all active property and construction initiatives
• Monitor budget vs actual costs, cost-to-complete forecasts, and contingency usage
• Maintain cashflow forecasts and funding drawdown schedules for each development
• Own end-to-end financial reporting for construction and property entities within the Group
• Assist the CFO in evaluating property pipeline strategy and capital deployment
• Evaluate debt funding structures and support loan application processes
• Maintain accurate financial controls and risk registers for all active projects.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Property & Construction Finance Manager position will bring a wealth of experience in finance, particularly within the property/construction sector.

• CA/CPA qualification is essential
• 7+ years' experience in finance, including 3+ in property/construction
• Experience with feasibility modelling, WIP/cost tracking, and capital budgeting
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of IFRS, GST, and property-related tax issues
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders
• High attention to detail and analytical capability
