Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We are seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team in Auckland. In this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated crew who provide operational support on our Asphalt maintenance jobs. You will be part of the asphalt production team overlooking the structural, mechanical and electrical systems in the asphalt plant rather than operating heavy trucks.

This is a full-time, permanent position that will require overtime or weekend shifts occasionally.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
We'd value the following skills and experience; however full training will be provided for the right candidate:
- Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence essential
- Experience or exposure to civil plant operations - Asphalt Plant, Bitumen Plant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will work with an extensive range of Downer and contracting crew members
- Commitment to a high standard of Health & Safety
- Experienced and able to learn computer systems
