We are looking for an experienced finance administrator to hit the ground running in this fast paced and supportive team. Joining this government organisation, this is a temporary assignment assisting with finance team.
Starting ASAP – 6 months
Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
$28 – $34 per hour + 8% holiday pay
The role:
You will ensure payments and receivables are processed in the correct system in a timely and accurate manner, whilst managing transaction exceptions appropriately.
Carry out quality control checks to mitigate fraud risk and ensure applicable financial regulations have been met.
Liaise with, advise and train customers on financial processes to resolve exceptions and reinforce organisations policies.
Provide excellent Customer Service by responding to account queries quickly.
Assist with financial software enhancements and implementation of financial regulation changes.
Cross-cover other Accounting Services Team functions as required.
About you:
To succeed in this position, you’ll have previous finance and administration experience. You will be an efficient and effective communicator who can work accurately at a fast pace. Along with managing a high workload, you will be able to:
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Applications, especially Excel
Highly organised and superb attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with wide range of people
Strong team player with a positive attitude
Able to work autonomously and make decisions in-line with policies
High degree of initiative and ability to research, investigate, analyse and problem solve
