Due to the growth of the business, the company is looking to expand the team and add this position to the team.
The Role The role of Financial Accountant will report to the Finance Manager. You will be given a portfolio of companies to manage, circa $30M t/o in size. You will have end to end responsibilities which will include:
Preparation of month end financial statements and analysis thereon
Assist with the budgeting and forecasting
Intercompany journals and reconciliations
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare client reporting in line with SLA’s, understanding contracts to ensure all deliverables are made
Oversee the assistant accountant in your portfolio of companies who looks after AP, AR and payroll and when required, perform these functions from time to time.
Other ad hoc duties as required.
Although you will have your own portfolio to manage, this is a collaborative team so you will help each other out as and when required.
Your profile: To be considered for this role, we are looking for an Accountant who has had responsibility for preparing month end. You key attributes will include:
Some management accounting experience
An ability and hunger to understand the operations of the business so you can effectively partner
Have worked in a multi entity reporting environment
Ideally have worked in a transport or logistics type industry
Personable and outgoing demeanour
A team player
Strong attention to detail
