Mō te tūnga | About the role
We have an opportunity for an individual who has the drive and determination to ensure that Police operates safely and successfully. This position is within the Cyber Security Operations Centre, part of the Service Delivery Group and is based at the Royal New Zealand Police College, Wellington.

This role will provide 24/7 advice, guidance, and remediation activities on cyber security related issues, ensuring Police information and systems are appropriately protected and managed in accordance to current government, Police and industry best practices and requirements. In addition, this role provides assurance that existing information systems are adhering to security risk management, such as vulnerability/patch management and access control.

  • Creating an adaptive operating environment – working across different systems and services with a strategic mindset, and coordinating teams and resources.

  • Writing and preparing written documents to a high standard, whilst applying lateral thinking to our security approaches.
  • Upholding integrity – Ensuring the highest ethical standards are applied and upheld.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $87,306 and $91,353 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
