Key Responsibilities:

  • You will provide a service that ensures that people who are terminally ill and their families receive the best possible psychological and psychosocial support.
  • You will provide vital psychological assessments, individual therapy and therapeutic group support to patients and their families.
  • You will work as part of a collaborate multidisciplinary team, alongside other health professionals, to deliver integrated care that supports the emotional and psychological well-being of patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.


This role involves both in-person and telehealth (Zoom) consultations, allowing you to provide flexible and accessible support.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Registered Clinical Psychologist or Registered Psychologist with a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Psychology or experienced Counsellor.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Clinical Psychologist or 3-5 years as a Counsellor in a health-related setting.
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate and membership with an appropriate professional association.
  • Full New Zealand Driver's License.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage a caseload and prioritise workload.
