The successful candidate will work closely with Relationship Managers, drive financial analysis, and play a crucial role in maintaining robust credit analysis standards.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Analyst in the Corporate & Institutional Banking team, your role will be pivotal in driving the business forward. Your role responsibilities include:

• Proactively manage the loan portfolio in collaboration with Relationship Managers, ensuring adherence to required standards.
• Utilise advanced financial modelling skills to prepare credit applications, term sheets, and covenant controls.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of portfolio sector performance and provide insightful market research summaries.
• Mentor junior analysts, fostering their growth and development.
• Assist Relationship Managers in resolving transactional banking queries.
• Archive loan documents appropriately in meticulous compliance with bank policies.
• Prepare a variety of reports required by the bank, offering clear insights that inform strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrate flexibility by embracing tasks assigned by the department and the bank.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience in corporate and institutional level banking analysis within local banks is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in achieving business targets, meeting customer needs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with effective communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and presentation capabilities.
• Solid understanding of local and China markets is advantageous.
• Proficiency in both written and verbal English.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
