Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We’re looking for a Manager, Platform Services – Support & Operations, to play a key role in supporting the execution of the technology strategy for some of our most business-critical platforms. This role will provide exceptional leadership to an agile platform delivery and operations team, ensuring operational stability while leading the transformation of the platform in alignment with our strategic priorities. You will be responsible to lead and manage a dynamic team supporting mission critical core insurance systems.

You’ll collaborate across platforms and with stakeholders to achieve outstanding business outcomes. Leveraging operational partnerships, you’ll drive simplification, agility, resilience and scalability. Additionally, you’ll maintain technical, design, and QA standards to optimize platform health, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Operations: Oversee activities to maintain platform health, including maintenance, monitoring, and problem management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with domain architects, tech leads, delivery team and production services to implement best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion operational excellence by embedding observability, automating processes, and achieving/exceeding SLAs.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and implement control measures to protect our insurance platforms.
  • Delivery Management: Drive the delivery of key platform support initiatives and platform small change applying agile methodologies.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver changes efficiently, while ensuring reliability and service levels are maintained


This is a permanent role open to candidates based in New Zealand or Australia.
