Job Description

Tradestaff Waikato is seeking a Confident Concrete Layer to join one of our well-established construction clients based in Hamilton.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced concrete professional looking to work on a variety of projects with a reputable company that values quality workmanship and a strong team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lay and finish concrete for a variety of construction projects, including foundations, floors, pavements, and decorative concrete.
  • Prepare and level surfaces, ensuring proper alignment and thickness.
  • Mix and pour concrete according to specifications, ensuring consistency and quality of the finished product.
  • Use hand tools and machinery to smooth, level, and finish concrete surfaces to a high standard.
  • Ensure all work is completed to strict health and safety guidelines.
  • Work closely with the team to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.


Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Concrete Layer in a construction environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of concrete properties, mixing, and finishing techniques.
  • Experience using both hand tools and power equipment for concrete laying.
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks and work in all weather conditions.
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites.
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • A reliable work ethic and strong attention to detail.
