We're Working for Wellington. Wellington City Council's team provides more than 400 services every day for Wellingtonians - everything from parks and pools to consents and cemeteries - playing our part in making Pōneke an inclusive, sustainable and creative capital for people to live, work and play.
We're looking for an extraordinary Fitness Consultant - someone who is passionate about health and fitness and want to be part of a great team.
Our Club Active teams are based at Freyberg Pool and Fitness Centre (Oriental Bay) and WRAC - Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre (Kilbirnie).
This role requires flexibility, as you will be working 32 hours per week, including weekend shifts and at both facilities.
Our Fitness Consultants are passionate about their job - and want our customers to have the best experience every time they come to our gym.
You'll be responsible for developing safe and appropriate, personalised fitness programmes as well as ensuring our facility is well presented and maintained. You'll be helping Wellingtonians stay active and healthy.
You'll be a natural with people, an excellent team player, have great time management skills - and a love of fitness.
You must have:
A tertiary qualification in Exercise Science or Health and Fitness or Level 4 Personal Training (or higher)
A Level 2 Comprehensive first aid certificate is desirable.
