About the role:

As a Technical Consultant in the Integration Centre for Enablement (C4E) Squad, you will be part of a team that is responsible for governing and overseeing ASB's federated integration ecosystem. Team members will work with delivery squads to co-design integrations in conformance to enterprise standards, consult to delivery squads facing difficult integration implementation blockers, curate and evangelize integration standards, shape and oversee an integrations delivery life cycle process, lead communities of practice and training sessions and maintain heatmaps that provide a health overview of the ecosystem which can be used to drive prioritization.

You are pragmatic and design effective solutions. You can document and present your technical designs to a wide range of audience. You have the drive to manage and deliver programmes of work to the production environment. You will be given opportunities to extend your sphere of influence beyond your squad to other squads and platforms, both to share your knowledge and experience and to extend it by drawing on the knowledge and experience of others. You will work collaboratively with our squads and stakeholders to be the voice of engineering and deliver products that delight our customers.



We are looking for someone who has:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of solution architecture experience
  • Proven experience and expertise in Swagger and OpenAPI specifications for API documentation and design.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API principles, authentication mechanisms (e.g. OAuth2, JWT) and microservices architecture.
  • Proven experience deploying micro services into Azure.
  • Proven proficiency in version controls systems (e.g. Git) and CI/CD pipelines for API code generation and package deployment
  • Experience with API testing frameworks such as Postman, Swagger UI or similar tools
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for delivering customer-focussed solutions.
  • A high level of attention of detail and is committed to producing high quality work



We are looking for someone who can:

  • Create and manage API specifications using swagger and openAPI to ensure clarity, consistency and scalability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams on best practices for API development and documentation
  • Act as a subject matter expert on API Standards and integration patterns
  • Work closely with stakeholders, project managers and other interested parties to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and presentations to demonstrate API solutions and gather feedback
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in API design and C# .NET technologies and apply them to projects.
