About the role:

We are looking for Casual Retail Assistant to join our team at Gisborne Hospital. This is a casual position on an as and when required basis, dependent on business needs.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for;

  • Delivering an upbeat and professional customer service
  • Providing a warm, friendly and welcoming ambiance for our customers
  • Basic food preparation and presentation, stock control, cash handling, making coffees
  • Assisting in general kitchen duties
  • In addition, assisting and maintaining general cleaning and food hygiene duties

If you're our ideal candidate;

  • You will be hard working, with a friendly, outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Ideally you will have at least 1 years' experience in the food industry and hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167), or be happy to train for one.
  • Along with your superior customer service skills, you will need to have the ability to work confidently both individually and with a team
  • Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality!
