  • We're offering a competitive salary starting from $77,886 to $86,082, depending on experience


Mō te tūnga | About the role

Join our Ministerial Services team, where you'll play a key role in managing public correspondence for Oranga Tamariki and the Minister. In this fast-paced environment, this role will have a focus on responding to Official Information Act requests and Ministerial correspondence, and contributing to the overall goal of the team to ensure we are a high performing Ministerial servicing function. This position requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

Key requirements of the role include:

  • Contribute to and support with Official Information Act requests for Oranga Tamariki and (on request) for the Minister's Office, and draft associated correspondence, including transfers, extensions and responses
  • Draft responses to correspondence received by the Minister's Office or Oranga Tamariki
  • Provide high quality advice and assistance to Oranga Tamariki staff about the processes, procedures and requirements relating to OIA requests and Ministerial correspondence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Oranga Tamariki and other departments and agencies as appropriate
  • Create a supportive and positive environment, helping others develop and achieve, and acting in the interests of the full team
  • Prepare regular update reports when required, to assist in managing the compliance with statutory deadlines and standard operating procedures
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
