At EquipFix, no two days are the same! We have an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Diesel Technician to showcase their skills in our dynamic team.
EquipFix, based in New Plymouth, is a repair solutions provider to the Heavy Plant and Equipment sectors, including services to other industries such as, but not limited to Construction, Quarrying, Forestry, Industrial, Power Generation and Road Transport.
EquipFix is an authorised Parts & Service Dealer for CablePrice New Zealand Ltd. CablePrice is New Zealand's exclusive authorised dealer for Hitachi Construction Machinery, Bell Equipment, McCloskey International, Isuzu Power Solutions, and Sullair.
If you are a self-motivated Heavy Diesel Technician with great problem-solving skills and a positive attitude, we would love to hear from you.
A background in Agriculture or Road Transport should not be considered a barrier for this role.
You will be responsible for:
- Field based and Workshop repairs with a "right first time" approach
- Applying sound problem-solving techniques
- The ability at times to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Input into planning and job management
- Maintain a high level of customer care
- Be proactive in all areas of Health and Safety
- Keep accurate records and timecards
- Being a positive team player with an innovative outlook
