We are on the lookout for an Experienced Warehouse Team Member to join our dynamic team in Pukekohe. This is a hands-on, all-rounder role where you'll be responsible for leading and supporting the team in day-to-day warehouse operations.
About Us:
Furtex is a New Zealand family-owned business. We have been sourcing, designing, manufacturing, and innovating textile products for over 80 years. Today the family legacy continues, four generations on, to provide discerning clients with outstanding interior furnishings and customer service to match. We design and develop our products from our hometown in Pukekohe, New Zealand. The products we store in our warehouse range from cushions/covers, throws, rugs and rug samples.
About the Role:
As a Experienced Warehouse Team Member, you will take charge of key responsibilities, including:
Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage inventory, including receiving, storing, and organising products.
Accurately pick, pack, and ship orders according to company standards.
Utilise warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
Assist with inventory counts and audits as required.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in inventory management.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects regularly.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work variable shifts as needed.
What We're Looking For:
A strong sense of responsibility and reliability
Forklift, reach truck, or AP license (beneficial but not essential)
Experience with NetSuite (advantageous)
A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to lead by example
