At BestStart Bayfair, we are more than just an early learning centre – we are a thriving community! Located conveniently next to the Bayfair Shopping Complex and bus stops, we offer a modern, purpose-built environment where tamariki (children) can grow, succeed, and thrive. With a strong focus on school readiness, we provide hands-on learning experiences, engage in community projects, enjoy regular beach walks, optional swimming lessons, and make termly trips to Mauao.
This is a fixed-term position offering 30-35 hours per week until January 2026.
What You’ll Do:
Provide exceptional care and education to tamariki.
Plan and engage in learning activities that extend children’s curiosity and growth.
Support centre operations and provide staff breaks.
Build positive relationships with tamariki, whānau, and kaiako (staff).
What We’re Looking For:
A team player who fosters respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and kaiako.
A passionate educator who loves creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting both children and colleagues.
Flexibility and adaptability to support across a variety of age groups and assist with other centre duties.
