About Us:
At BestStart Bayfair, we are more than just an early learning centre – we are a thriving community! Located conveniently next to the Bayfair Shopping Complex and bus stops, we offer a modern, purpose-built environment where tamariki (children) can grow, succeed, and thrive. With a strong focus on school readiness, we provide hands-on learning experiences, engage in community projects, enjoy regular beach walks, optional swimming lessons, and make termly trips to Mauao.
This is a fixed-term position offering 30-35 hours per week until January 2026.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide exceptional care and education to tamariki.
- Plan and engage in learning activities that extend children’s curiosity and growth.
- Support centre operations and provide staff breaks.
- Build positive relationships with tamariki, whānau, and kaiako (staff).
What We’re Looking For:
- A team player who fosters respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and kaiako.
- A passionate educator who loves creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting both children and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support across a variety of age groups and assist with other centre duties.
