We’re looking for a caring and committed Teacher Aid to join our team on a fixed-term basis, working 5 hours a day, 4 days a week (20 hours) until 6th October 25. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting diverse learners and creating an inclusive, nurturing environment for tamariki.
About the Role:
As a Teacher Aide, you’ll support our teaching team by working closely with children who need 1:1 support. This may involve assisting them through routines, play, and learning experiences, as well as providing cover so our teachers can spend dedicated time with these learners. You’ll also help with general classroom tasks and contribute to a safe and engaging learning environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting teachers and tamariki across the centre
Assisting with routines, meals, and learning activities
Building positive relationships with children and their whāna
Creating a warm, inclusive and responsive environment
Helping to maintain a clean, safe and well-organised space
About You:
You’ll have experience working with young children, and a natural ability to connect with them. An ECE qualification is not required, but a willingness to learn and take direction is essential. Initiative, empathy, and flexibility will see you succeed in this role.
