About the Role:

At BestStart Te Whāriki our team strive to provide an environment that is welcoming, respectful, safe and fun for all children and families. Our age specific rooms are licensed for a small number of children and offer nice and intimate spaces indoor and a spacious outdoor to allow for a variety of learning opportunities and experiences that challenge children in ways that support their holistic development.

We are a fun, kind and a supportive team who is looking for an amazing, dedicated, energetic and fun-loving teacher to join our over2’s team to continue creating and accommodating a quality learning programme that is Reggio inspired in our age specific 3-year-old room. We have three over twos rooms and they are designed to provide flow and movement between the classrooms, so our kaiako can easily create learning opportunities to support Manaakitanga and Tuakana teina relationships. This permanent, full-time 40-hour position is an amazing opportunity to work in a space that values creativity, growth, and development in early childhood education.

Role Requirements:

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification
  • Strong understanding of child-led curriculum and Te Whariki
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Passion for quality teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Engaged in ongoing learning, reflective and contributes to a supportive and welcoming team culture
