Job Description

We are seeking experienced and passionate Tikanga Lore Advisors.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Cultural Guidance.
2 Policy Development
3. Training and Education.
4. Consultation
5. Documentation and Reporting.
6. Advocacy Representation

Skills Required:

  • Cultural Expertise: In-depth knowledge of tikanga Māori, including its historical, social, and spiritual dimensions.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in practical and contemporary settings.
  • Experience: Significant experience in a cultural advisory role, particularly within Māori or indigenous contexts.
  • Experience with policy development and organizational consulting is highly desirable
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate cultural concepts and practices clearly to diverse audiences, including non-Māori stakeholders.
  • Skilled in both written and verbal communication
  • Deep understanding of the cultural history of NZ.
  • Te Reo Maori language is advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of Maori history & Tikanga
