As a Senior Manager in our national incentives team, you will use your experience in professional services and with your knowledge of technology development to support New Zealand’s leading technology-driven business to access non-dilutive funding. Depending on the successful candidate's preference, this role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington.



You will pursue new clients and engage with existing EY clients to understand their local and foreign development roadmaps; analysing commercial and project information to assess eligibility for R&D tax incentives and other government grants. The exceptional results you deliver will play a pivotal role in supporting innovation and growth across the NZ economy.



As a leader in our high performing team, you will also drive the delivery of key strategic initiatives.

  • Exposure to challenges faced in technical industries, such as software engineering, manufacturing process improvement, new product development
  • Rock-star project/engagement delivery skills
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
  • A collaborative working style with excellent communication and presentational skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to delegate, coach and mentor junior team members
  • The desire to lead change; being pro-active, innovative and enthusiastic
  • Strong relationship builder with excellent influencing and questioning skills
  • 6+ years’ experience with R&D tax incentives, either in NZ or offshore
