Lead our Front Office team to deliver outstanding guest experiences

At Copthorne Hotel Wellington, Oriental Bay, we pride ourselves on our warm hospitality and professional service. We're now looking for a Front Office Manager who brings leadership, energy, and strong operational skills to oversee our Front Desk team. You’ll set the tone from check-in to check-out, ensuring that every guest experience exceeds expectations.

This is a full-time role, working a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays. You'll lead a close-knit team and work collaboratively across departments to deliver seamless service.

About the role:

As our Front Office Manager, you will:

  • Lead the Front Office team with a focus on service excellence, team morale, and professional standards.
  • Ensure all administrative aspects of the department are completed accurately and efficiently, including rostering, reporting, invoicing, and financial oversight.
  • Prepare reports and support forecasting, budget management, and payroll processes.
  • Manage performance and training of team members, ensuring they are confident and capable in systems and service delivery.
  • Drive revenue opportunities through upselling, local promotions, and guest relationship management.
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety and hotel operating procedures.


What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience as a Front Office Manager, or a strong Assistant Front Office Manager or Duty Manager ready for the next step.
  • Excellent administrative and financial skills – confident with reporting, rostering, payroll systems, and hotel management systems (PMS).
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example on the desk.
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and problem-solve on the go.
