We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Auto Electrician with a passion for diagnosing and solving complex electrical issues in vehicles to join this team of experts in the Bay of Plenty.

The role

  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems in various vehicle makes and models
  • Install, repair, and maintain vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, alarms, and accessories
  • Diagnostics using technical manuals, computer-based systems, wiring diagrams, and specialised tools for precise repairs
  • Conduct comprehensive checks to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of work
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining electrical issues and repair options clearly and professionally
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in auto electrical technology and techniques



Skills sought

  • Relevant trade qualified and experienced auto electricians
  • Post-qualification experience working as an auto electrician working on a variety of vehicles is essential
  • An understanding of automotive wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in the auto electrical industry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Solid diagnostics and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work to deadline
  • Good customer service skills
