Job Description

This role will primarily support Yashili manufacturing plant to ensure that daily activities defined in the Yashili New Zealand (YNZ) Quality System are met and non-conformances are fully investigated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verify that the Yashili Quality system activities are to the standards required by both legislation and approved Yashili SOP’s.
  • Make certain that there is operational compliance in all areas of the business with RMP, HACCP, and OMAR requirements, and identification, mitigation, and investigation of potential non-conformance, including logging of such instances.
  • Ensure line clearance, product change over and line start-ups are completed
  • Process the weekly environmental monitoring and traceback as and when required and to follow up with weekly environmental reporting.
  • Support for the development of standard operating procedures (when required), including verification of change control implementations and development of line clearance procedures.
  • Assistance with quality internal audits such as GMP, Food safety and sanitation, and helping Manufacturing during production trials.
  • Log sheet completion including GDP.
  • Training identification and assistance as and when required as part of process improvements and refresher training (OPL’s) within the manufacturing team.
  • Submission of samples to Asure Quality if necessary, during the weekend and ensuring that all production processes and quality systems are not compromised throughout the duration of any production runs, down time, or maintenance.
  • Attend daily shift manufacturing meetings.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  • Year 12/13 Science/Math
  • Experience >2 years Food Manufacturing or Quality Team experience
  • Good level Communication Skills
  • Good Plant Systems skills
  • Quality System Practices
  • Health & Safety Practices
  • Computer Literate
  • Exposure to Quality Systems including HACCP


Preferred:

  • Food Technology degree / QA diploma
  • Infant Formula Powder Knowledge
  • Dairy Powder Knowledge
  • HACCP understanding
  • The ability to work autonomously.
  • Exposure to developing Quality Systems and performing Quality Audits (Regulatory and Customer)
  • Infant formula or Dairy Experience
