Job Description

Our client based in Mt Wellington, is looking for a QC Technician on afternoon shift working Monday-Thursday 3:30pm - 1:30am, allowing you to enjoy a three-day weekend or optional overtime!

As a Quality Control (QC) Technician you are a key member of the team ensuring your product goes out on time to the highest of standards. You not only have to inspect products but also investigate faults, log results, and perform calibrations as required.

An integral part of your role requires you to be able to read and understand engineering/technical drawings and diagrams, your knowledge will be tested to confirm your suitability.

Your duties will include:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams and schematics
  • Inspecting manufactured products and logging any fault results
  • Completing inspection reports of non-compliant products
  • Using inspection reports to develop and improve processes to prevent future faults
  • Ensuring all technical quality assurance processes and procedures are maintained
  • Preparing CMM programs and operations as required
  • Analyzing, evaluating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving all CMM issues/problems

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Mechanical based background knowledge
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar Quality Assurance/Quality Control based role
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams and schematics
  • Understanding of mechanical measurements, visual inspection, and schematic drawings
  • Experience with CMM or understanding of how it works
  • Attention to detail with time prioritization skills and great communication skills
