Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a part-time basis, working up to 20 hours per week. This role is integral to the smooth running of the finance function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all accounts payable activities.
What you'll do:
As an Accounts Payable Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate processing of accounts payable and reconciling discrepancies to prevent errors.
Administer accounts payables inbox and ensure all invoices are processed timely and accurately
Monitor approval status of invoices and follow up as required
Reconcile supplier statements and ensure supplier setup adheres to internal control procedures
Provide support across the organisation to process purchase orders as required
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
Respond to internal and external accounts payable queries and assist with accountability reporting when required
What you bring:
The ideal Accounts Payable Officer will bring a wealth of experience in managing accounts payable processes. You have a keen eye for detail which enables you to spot discrepancies easily. Your excellent time management skills allow you to prioritise tasks effectively to meet payment deadlines.
At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable
Demonstrated experience in delivering key accountabilities
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Working knowledge and experience in financial packages; Experience with Business Central is desirable but not essential
Strong written and oral communication skills
A strong customer focus
