About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Executive for our retail division to lead our caravan and motorhome sales team. As the BDE, you will be responsible for driving sales, growing and managing a passionate team, and ensuring that Mad Campers remains the top choice for caravan and motorhome buyers in New Zealand.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage the retail sales division to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing campaigns for existing and new markets.
  • Representing Mad Campers with professionalism and enthusiasm at industry events and promotions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail division, ensuring high standards of customer service.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

  • Proven experience in a senior sales role, preferably in the automotive or recreational vehicle industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • A passion for caravans, motorhomes, and the outdoor lifestyle.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to think outside the box.
