Ko tō tūranga – your role
As the Senior Health, Safety and Wellness Advisor – Technology you will play a pivotal role to ensures the seamless implementation of our Health and Safety management plans within the Technology function.

Your expertise will be essential in providing insightful advice and support to foster a culture of Health, Safety & Wellbeing across the entire portfolio.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Manage all HSW activities for our Technology function including management of relevant committees, 3rd party contractors and all business stakeholders
  • Promote and encourage same day reporting for Lost Time Injuries (both work and non-work related) and proactive reporting of near-miss hazards
  • Management of HSW risk profile within Technology portfolio including regular review of risks, assessing hazards and controls and updating risk registers
  • Responsible for Contractor Management of all 3rd party contractors and sub-contractors including ongoing management of the contractor pre-qualification system
  • Monthly reporting of incidents, safety inspections, contractors to ensure that One NZ is meeting HSW reporting obligations
  • Assist the Senior HSW Manager with monthly Board reporting input from technology and manage the Technology HSW Deep Dive annually
  • Develop & ensure compliance with the annual assurance programme for Technology to monitor and review HSW performance
  • Support the Senior HSW Manager as required

  • Proven experience as a Senior Health and Safety expert
  • Must have experience working in HSW in a high-risk environment including 3rd party contractors
  • Able to support as part of a broader HSW team that includes retail and corporate
  • Stakeholder management including Senior Leaders, 3rd party contractors, outsourced providers and suppliers
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to influence
