About the role and who we are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Full-Time Food Service Associate to work at Dunedin Hospital. Working hours will be Tuesday 9:30am-6:00pm and Wednesday to Friday 6:30am-3:00pm
You will be responsible for:
working as part of a team taking exceptional care of people by enhancing the overall dining experience while performing patient meal service on assigned wards
menu selections
tray assembly
tray delivery and pick
special requests
maintenance of floor stock
in-between nourishment's and beverages
ensuring that all requests are dealt with in a professional and timely manner and assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.
To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and experience:
If you're our perfect candidate you will be physically fit, hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. Ideally you will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167). You will have superior customer service skills but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality. This role requires a pro-active approach to safety and utilisation of all of the safety equipment and procedures provided by Compass Group.
