About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
This position will have a focus on the commercial law and contracting space working on some large and innovative projects across the private and public sector. This will include work in the technology, media, telecommunications, and energy space. Clients vary from multi-nationals to start up and span a range of industries. No two days are the same and you will thrive on the variety of work and direct access to clients.
You will be able to lead work on files on a day-to-day basis, with a high degree of direct client contact and responsibility, and partner support and oversight as required. You will mentor junior lawyers and participate in business development activities. If you are interested, you can get involved in some corporate law too, but that is not essential.

The remuneration package is competitive. Flexible working options will be considered too, including part-time.
What you will bring | Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu
- 4-9 years' experience acquired in-house and/or in private practice
- Commercial law experience including drafting agreements
- Experience in the technology, media, telecommunications, and/or the energy sector is a bonus but is not essential
- New Zealand or overseas qualified - this includes commonwealth countries and America
- Strong technical, written and analytical skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Proactive, curious, and open to novel approaches
