Oasis Engineering (part of the global Elaflex HIBY Group based in Hamburg, Germany) is a privately owned, family orientated leading manufacturer of turned and milled stainless products for the export natural gas, Hydrogen and national food and dairy industries. Are you an experienced and autonomous CNC lathe and/or Machine centre Setter and Programmer that loves making new and exciting parts?
Our company is growing fast with a strong focus on developing new products quickly. To enable this, we have a new position available as a Product Development Machinist, producing prototype parts for the Product Development team. This role is full time (with optional overtime at time and a half) and will involve close collaboration with the Product Development team to turn new product ideas into reality.
About you:
- You will hold a relevant trade qualification and have at least 5 years experience working on CNC Lathes, and/or Machine Centers.
- You will be able to receive design models from the development team and independently program, set and run our CNC machines to produce the required parts.
- You have excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate with others of varying skillsets, allowing quick and regular feedback to improve part designs for manufacture.
- Other tasks may include machine maintenance or making jigs / fixtures on our manual machines depending upon your experience.
- You'll have a keen eye for detail and quality, pride in your work and enjoy making quality products.
- You are able to read & understand drawings and embrace improvements.
