We have A Vacancy within our Gardening Department as a Junior Greenkeeper

About the Role: The ideal candidate is to carry out the daily maintenance of grass and lawns, ensuring they remain healthy and well-kept. Duties include, but are not limited to, lawn mowing, weed eating, turfing, fertilising, watering, and agricultural spraying. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with dangerous substances in a safe manner, design and problem solve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform lawn mowing, weed eating, and hedge trimming.
• Assist with the maintenance of irrigation systems across The Movie Set, Shire's Rest, and Turf Farms.
• Support the fertilisation, irrigation, and upkeep of turf and lawns.
• Help control pests, diseases, and weeds to maintain turf health.
• Water grass and lawns as required.
• Assist with managing re-turfed areas.
• Contribute to grass renovation projects.
• Ensure greenkeeping tools and equipment are well-maintained and report any issues to the Head Greenkeeper.
• Communicate any concerns to the Head Greenkeeper.
• A genuine interest in gardening and horticulture
• Previous gardening experience is a plus, but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks
• Knowledge of plant care and maintenance is an advantage
• A proactive attitude with attention to detail
• Full driver’s license essential

This is a full-time role with early morning starts and a full clean driver's license and reliable transport is essential.
