The HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across university accommodation buildings. Routine servicing, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring systems run efficiently and safely.

About the role:

Due to the growing workload in Auckland, we currently require an experienced HVAC Technician to join our site-based team based at the University of Auckland Accommodation portfolio.

You will be working as part of a team, comprised of Plumbers, Electricians, HVAC Technicians and our Building Maintenance crew ensuring our client’s facilities are maintained to a high level.

The workload will consist of a combination of reactive maintenance and minor project work but also assisting with Planned Preventative Maintenance works.

About you:

  • HVAC or refrigeration Trade qualified.
  • NZ Limited Electrical licence.
  • Experience in BMS and HVAC controls preferred.
  • Commercial maintenance experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability or willingness to learn to use a tablet/iPad (for job dispatch).

Health & Safety is a priority for Cushman & Wakefield and the successful candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of the H&S requirements and behaviours in commercial environment. Good personal presentation and customer service skills are also essential, as is a clean full driver’s license.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a drug test, complete a Pre-employment Health Questionnaire and MOJ check. A criminal conviction review is also a requirement of the role.
