Joining our Transport and Infrastructure business, you will be supporting the ‘Connect Hamilton’ contract as a STMS based in Hamilton. You will help to deliver a safe, reliable and sustainable roading network.

We are looking for an experienced or up-and-coming STMS to join our kapa/

As an STMS, you will ensure the accurate following of temporary traffic management plans and oversee set up and pack down of road closures and diversions.

  • You will be confident leading toolbox and closure briefings with crew, whilst providing clear job details and expectations to TMO
  • Willing and able to train and upskill our Traffic Controllers and junior STMS’
  • Ensure the safety of the Downer crew, subbies, and the general public

If you enjoy spending your days on your feet and outdoors, this would be your perfect next move! You will have a can-do attitude, strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate your team. We’d also value:

  • STMS Cat A/B Practicing or 1 Warrant (preferable)
  • Class 1 Full New Zealand Driver’s licence (Class 2 beneficial)
  • Reliability, problem solving abilities and people skills
  • A commitment and confidence to maintain safe work practices
