About the role:

Your role will be to ensure the effective application of construction management procedures and knowledge across the pre-implementation and delivery projects thereby ensuring consistent approach to the execution phase to scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety requirements.

You will directly support the management of critical pre-implementation and delivery phase projects under a defined boundary of project’s delegated authority.

What you’ll bring to the role

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 15 years construction management experience on complex infrastructure and/or civil projects (transportation and airport experience is an advantage but not mandatory)
  • Tertiary qualification or similar professional qualification in Engineering, Construction or a similar discipline
  • Experience in large scale, brownfields civil and construction projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction execution planning and processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships at all levels to effectively influence others and achieve positive outcomes
  • Ability to analyse data, develop conclusions/options, and present results
  • Pragmatic, solution focused and adaptable approach


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring overall operational excellence and performance by establishing and maintaining Construction Management procedures for the various projects
  • Providing input to standard contract requirements related to construction delivery and expert advice during procurement of construction contractors
  • Providing input into strategic and business planning in conjunction with the Leadership team
  • Taking accountability for providing strong leadership for all operational staff
  • Providing technical support 
  • Ensuring strong H&S Management and support
  • Monitoring and reporting on construction performance
